Include fats, vitamins, and minerals in diet- You also have to include non carbohydrate food in your diet. This will include meat and meat substitutes. Take regularly at least ½ cup of cottage cheese, ½ cup cooked dried beans, 1 egg per day, fish too should be included in your diet. Fats also form an important part of your diet so take almonds, avocado, peanuts, olive in small quantities every day. Always include salad in your food.
The aim is to eat a variety of foods every day. Your meal and your snacks should be a perfect balance. Never skip your breakfast which most of the people are prone to do. With regard to milk you should take 2 glasses per day if you desire more than opt for other calcium sources since milk is also rich in simple sugar. Other calcium sources are- dairy products, nuts, and unsweetened ready to eat cereals. You may also take club soda, or simple squeeze a lemon or orange in water and drink.
Avoid fatty and greasy food; try to eat less carbohydrate at the breakfast time since insulin resistance is the greatest at this time. Make sure you are also including all vitamins and minerals in your diet. Drink at least 8 ounces of liquids per day. Iron should not be neglected so eat plenty of dates, eggs, and lean meat.
