Fruits and constipation though are not very much interrelated but there are certain fruits that cause constipation. Bananas are the most important fruits which are responsible for the same but on the other hand a number of fruits helps to relieve constipation like raspberries, blueberries, apricots, avocados, plums, oranges, figs. Other foods too matters a lot.
Fruits form one of the most favourite foods of a large number of people who love to eat them in large quantities. Fruits are very much beneficial for the health and hence they too form a part of the balanced diet. They provide vitamins and the required minerals to the human body and thereby relieve weakness.
Fruits Which Cause Constipation
However it is often said that there are a few of the fruits which if taken in excessive quantity might lead to constipation and hence difficulty or irregularity in the bowel movements.
Though this appears to be strange but this is also a truth. So it is quite essential that you lessen the intake of such fruits. In fact banana is the most important fruit which is known to cause constipation, it is said to cause constipation in a number of people and hence it should be taken in lesser numbers.
Apart from the fruits, there are certain foods which too might be responsible for constipation. These include some of the milky products like cheese, white bread products too are responsible for the same.
Apart from this, processed foods and refined sugars too may cause be the main factors responsible for hardened bowel movements. Lack of fibre is one of the major causes of constipation. Eating daily meat products too is said to be unhealthy and responsible for constipation.
Treating Constipation through Fruits
Though banana is a fruit which is responsible for causing constipation, on the other hand there are a large number of fruits which are useful in relieving constipation. These include strawberries, blackberries, raspberries.
Apart from this various other foods which too are beneficial include apple, oranges, figs, avocado, prunes and papaya. These fruits if taken regularly are not just going to help you get rid of constipation but will be quite effective in making your body and mind healthy and beautiful. There are some other fruits with these properties these includes dates, plums, cherries, grapes and apricots.
When it comes to other types of foods, you should be quite particular in buying those foods. Whenever you go to the grocery shop, always check the label of the food which you are buying. It should be having adequate amount of fibre in it.
Try to eat more of green leafy vegetables and thereby save yourself from the trouble of constipation. This is slowly and gradually becoming one of the most annoying problems for many.

I have MS and had a rectocele, and now it s happening again. The most important is that only the first stool is very hard and it is so painful, but After the first come out, the rest is easy. It like my rectum is too tight is real painful.

I have been on a fruit diet, eating fresh fruit salads for everymeal, no additives, just fruit in their natural juices. At lunch I add a side of solid white albacore tuna, I am so constipated and would love to know other than banana which fruits add to my constipation

Prostrate removed. First bowel movement very difficult. Had to apply Vaseline to rectum and that helped. What I wonder does watermelon, cantaloupe,blue berries help? Pretty much copus amount of water really helped too
