We can get Vitamin D naturally from the sun. It makes us look young and healthy as well as it is beneficial in making the bones sturdy and strong. It is important to get enough exposure to sunlight to prevent from getting pale and other illnesses such as rickets. Prolonged exposure to sunlight especially sunbathing is dangerous to the skin and to health in general. It is difficult to sleep when there is sunburn because it is uncomfortable. If you have sunburn you should take immediate action to relieve and treat the condition.
- Vinegar – This can restore the pH balance of the skin and can help prevent blistering. Likewise, spraying the mixture of vinegar and water on the burn areas can soothe the pain. You can spray the mixture as much as you can all through the day. On the other hand, you can alternately use the spray by taking a bath. Yet, you should pour at least 4 cups of vinegar in the water and soak for 20 minutes.
- Milk – Milk is another homemade remedy for sunburn. All you have to do is to soak the gauze with milk and apply it in the burn areas for few minutes. It soothes and cools the burn area and at the same time leaves protein in the skin. If it is painful to apply the gauze you can spray the milk directly to the burns.
- Aloe Vera – Apparently, Aloe Vera has a cooling and soothing effect. That is why it is very useful in the healing process of the sunburn. If you cannot find the Aloe Vera plant you can buy instead Aloe Vera gel. Apply it on the affected area as often as possible.
- Tea – To ease the discomfort brought by sunburn you can use tea to spray in the affected areas. The tea has tannin that helps in soothing the skin.
Aside from the natural cures for sunburn you should pay attention on drinking lots of water. It is important to drink plenty of water in order to replenish the water lost in your body.
