Stomach flu can have side effects that are serious in nature so seeking medical help is a good idea.

There are some home remedies that you can do to cure stomach flu. The most important thing is that you learn how to contain it. One of the remedies includes drinking tea. It can soothe your stomach but be careful not to drink too much because it can irritate your tummy. When you have stomach flu the most important thing is to survive. You always have to keep yourself hydrated all the time.

Having stomach flu can impede your day to day activities. Sometimes you can find yourself in the toilet for days due to diarrhea and vomiting. The rotavirus is the one causing watery stools in children. Usually when a child has rotavirus, he or she can be ill for a week experiencing fever and stomach cramps. Calicvirus is also a virus that can be considered as a reason for stomach flu for all ages. Aside from diarrhea and vomiting, a person can also suffer headaches, fatigue and muscle pain. Adenovirus happens in children ages 2 and below. The astrovirus can happen to those people with weak immune systems. There are also viruses that are contagious in nature that even touching can make a person exposed to it. Be careful to share drinks, food and utensils because you can certainly get symptoms in just a few days. In order to avoid these problems, wash your hands first before eating or doing anything. Most likely stomach flu appears in classrooms, day cares, nursing homes and household.

Sadly there is no cure yet for virus. The best thing is to allow the symptoms to take course. Bed rest is so important to let your body recuperate. Taking measures to minimize the symptoms is important as well.
