Once your child has foul-smelling stools, you must be warned. This might be one of the signs of diarrhea. Check if your child has a watery stool with fever and vomiting. If he does you must bring him. This can also be the cause of “Rotavirus” that can lead to severe and quick dehydration.
Make sure to avoid giving your child sports drinks, yogurt or milk while he has diarrhea. Remember that most sports drinks are made to cure diarrhea-induced liquid loss and because of that many children have conflicts processing lactose having a gastro-intestinal disease. So, most doctors advise to wait until your child’s digestive system has changed in order to avoid other bad effects.
Next is avoiding your children to directly contact from anti-diarrhea medicines that are not suitable to their age unless otherwise you have consulted your specialist. In case your child is fond of juice, you must reduce its amount because it has a possibility to cause diarrhea and make it worst. Although it is essential to keep your child hydrated, there are still some juices that can make your child’s stomach irritated.
There are also other remedies for diarrhea including bananas, rice and white toast. These can help trigger allergic reactions in toddlers which they can easily digest. So choose the right foods for your kid. Nothing really beats go, grow and glow foods because they are responsible for making the body healthy.
