They usually come from dairy products and meat which if are taken in excessive quantity. So it is a must to have control on both these in order to restrict your cholesterol along with triglycerides.
An increase in cholesterol along with triglycerides are said to be quite bad for the health and are known to getting sticked to the blood vessels and may cause atherosclerosis. People with high triglycerides and a low level of HDL are known to suffer from various problems like obesity, insulin resistance, increased blood clotting. Thus it needs to be taken care of at the earliest.

You also need to restrict the intake of fats and sugars in your diet. It is equally important to lower down the intake of alcohol and other beverages. The lesser your triglycerides the better it is for your over all health.
